Last Friday night, my daughter said she had a big pain in her left ear.  She wailed "I have pain in left ear!" 

It was over 11 o'clock.  All of ear, nose and throat hospital in my city were closed.  I called the fire station to ask which hospital was still open for her treatment.  However, they said we had to wait till morning come.  No hospital for treatment of ears was open at that night except a first-aid clinic in where is located in very far from here. 

My husband was at workplace.  Last train bound for was gone.  I do not have driving license.  My son was sleeping in a room.  I could not leave him alone in the house. 

I called to my husband to ask him to get back to home as soon as possible.  I called also taxi service to get us taken to the first-aid hospital in .  I had no choice but leaving my son alone in the house.  My daughter and I rode the taxi leaving my son alone at home.  How I was in agonizing dilemma! 

Fortunately my husband could go back home 30 minutes after I left home without any problem with my son.

We arrived at the clinic, it was over midnight.  My daughter was surprised that she woke up so late for the first time.

I said to her "It is over midnight.  This time, the magic spell to Cinderella was broken, she turned back to a girl who was ungraceful dressed." 

She seemed happy to be able to stay late like a Chinderella

She was diagnosed "inflammation of the middle ear ".  Next morning, we went to the clinic to give her appropriate treatment.  The doctor removed the pus from her left ear.  She had very big pain when doctor did treatment for her.  I am very sorry to hear her crying.

Her ear condition is getting better and better everyday.  Through that tough experience, I have realized I have to pay attention to children’s ear when they catch a cold and have a runny nose.
